Paws and Claws offers pet day care because
of how busy the lives of pet owners have become.
We are here for you and your pet as an
alternative to leaving our best friends home
alone during our long and busy days. Day care
offers a fun filled alternative that allows your
dog to be active, get exercise, socialize with
other pets and people. Your pet will love it and
come home happy and fulfilled, ready to spend a
quiet evening at home relaxing and unwinding
with you at the end of a busy day.
Day care can assist owners with many pet issues
including puppy training, separation anxiety,
destructive behaviors, boredom or lack of
exercise. We can accommodate geriatric pets and
offer post surgery monitoring as well.
The indoor park setting is divided into two
separate play areas. Dogs are designated into
play groups by size and/or play style. Each play
area has a large assortment of toys, balls and
chew items. All dogs are hand walked outside
every 2 1/2 to three hours, puppies more
frequently.
Staff members will be actively participating with ball
throwing, tug of war, retrieving games, cuddling and
lots of belly rubs. Dogs are under constant monitoring
to ensure healthy play and to curtail any rough or
aggressive behavior.
Pet owners are encouraged to log on to watch their pet’s
fun filled day via our Live Doggie Cam.
All pets must be current on all vaccinations; rabies,
distemper and bordatella (kennel cough).
All pets over 7 months of age must be spayed/neutered to

Daycare Requirements

DHLPPC, and bordatella (kennel cough). Pets must be
neutered or spayed at the appropriate age (Paws and
Claws will consider exceptions). New pets will be
individually evaluated and introduced slowly into the
community. Ill pets will not be accepted.

Overnight Requirements and Rates
Pets enjoy full day care benefits that include
playing all day for no extra fee. We are quite
different from “kennels” which hold 40, 60, or
more dogs in small cages or runs. Each guest at
Paws and Claws is assured a comfortable,
personal stay. We are proud that Paws and Claws
is the most personal overnight facility in the
St. Croix Valley.
Play All Day * Rest All Night * Go Home Happy
Paws and Claws guests get out of bed early in
the morning and play all day in separate play
areas (determined by size as well as play
style). The have endless exercise,
socialization, and interaction.
•Board for single nights or for extended
periods.
•Pets return to their beds at night tired,
satisfied, and ready to rest. They all sleep
great at Paws and Claws.
•Drop-off and Pick-up Monday through Sunday
6am-9pm, at your convenience!
•Each pet receives hands-on attention and
affection.
•Exercise, socialization, and interaction all
day.
•Guests are encouraged to bring their favorite
bedding, blankets, and toys.
•We administer medications per your
instructions, at no additional expense.
•Dog training available for additional fee.
•We required that you bring your pet's food;
stress of being away from home along with a
change in diet may result in stomach stress and
other issues.
•Suites are available for unaltered or
non-socialized pets.
Boarding Requirements
All pets must have current vaccinations,
including rabies, DHLPPC, and bordatella (kennel
cough). Pets must be neutered or spayed by seven
months of age (Paws and Claws will consider
exceptions) to participate in open play groups,
suites are available for unaltered pets. New
pets will be individually evaluated and
introduced slowly into the playgroups. Paws and
Claws cannot guarantee that all pets will
flourish in this type of environment.
Boarding Rates
Over-night rates: (All rates are based on 24
hours from initial check-in time, for the
duration of pets stay.)
Single dog: $38.00 per 24 hours
Multi-Dog House:
2 dogs: $72.20 per day ($36.10 each)
3 dogs: $102.60 per day ($34.20 each)
Pet's final day of stay is prorated:
Up to five hours past initial check-in time,
additional $16.00.
Over five hours past initial check-in time,
additional $24.00.

Training
Beginner Obedience - $99
Open to dogs of ANY age
Open the lines of communication and learn how to
motivate your dog through positive reinforcement and
teach basic obedience commands. You will learn how
to train your dog to walk loosely on leash, as well
as; heel, sit, down, stay and come, while on leash.
Behavioral concerns will be addressed in this class
as well.

Beginner II- $99
Dogs that have completed Beginner Obedience
Fine tuning of on leash obedience and commands with
distractions. This Class is an introduction to
off-leash training using positive reinforcement.
Behavioral concerns will be addressed in this class
as well. Completion of at least one beginner
obedience class is required and/or assessment by
instructor required before class start date.

•All classes meet for approx. 45 minutes, one night
per week, for six weeks
•All pets MUST be current on bordatella (kennel
cough), distemper and rabies vaccinations
•A topical flea/tick preventative is recommended

Grooming
Spa Services
Pets certainly know when they are clean and looking
good. Well-groomed pets are happier, better behaved,
healthier, and more outgoing. Just like all of us,
they feel good when they look good. Paws and Claws
offers a complete line of spa and grooming services
to bring out the best of appearance and personality
in any breed. We work carefully, never rush, and do
not overbook appointments. We always take our time
and do it right. Our grooming categories may be
described as follows:
Paws and Claws has caring, experienced, professional
groomers who enjoy giving pets a full spa
experience!
All full grooming services include cleaning ears,
trimming nails, bath (including full body massage),
blow dry and the trim or haircut of your choice. Our
groomers ALWAYS consult with you to ensure your pet
is groomed the way YOU like.
Appointments are available six days per week
(including evenings and Saturdays) and can be made
while pets are staying with us for your convenience,
so they can be fresh and clean when you pick them up
after a day of play or overnight.
Our facilities uphold the highest standards for
cleanliness and disinfection and are fully insured.
Pricing
There are many variables in pet grooming, such as
whether your pet has long or short hair and also if
the hair is matted and tangled. Therefore, there is
no set pricing for grooming. Our groomers set
individual prices for each pet, largely based on the
time required to complete the chosen service.
