FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
All pets over seven months of age MUST be spayed or
neutered (or have written veterinary reason) to
participate in open play areas. Unaltered pets are
welcome but will have PRIVATE playtimes ONLY and can be
accommodated in our suites.
Vaccinations:
1. Dogs 16 weeks of age and older must have veterinary
proof of current rabies, distemper combo and bordetella*
(kennel cough).
2. Puppies under 16 weeks must have veterinary proof of
up to date distemper combo and bordetella* (kennel
cough).
3. We request that all pets be on a topical flea and tick
preventative (preferably from a veterinarian). Flea
collars are not allowed.
4. Monthly heartworm preventative is recommended.
*Bordetella (commonly referred to as kennel cough) is
air borne and very contagious. It is not life
threatening and may be not be given routinely by your
veterinarian so must be requested to be given. We prefer
that Bordetella be given 48 hours prior to attendance.
As with any vaccine, there is no guarantee that your pet
is 100% protected.

send, after receipt we will contact your veterinary
clinic to verify current vaccinations and then contact
you to confirm information and your reservation times.
1. All dogs will be screened prior to attending Paws and Claws’ Daycare or Overnight Services. Once your application is on file with your owner and pet information, Paws and Claws will assess your pet for play style and temperament to best meet both your’s and your pet’s needs.
2. All pets must be non-aggressive and have no prior
history of aggression toward other animals or people.
Failure to disclose such information will result in
denial or cancellation of services.
3. Pets with special needs (medications, medical
conditions, aged, etc.) are always welcome and
accommodated.
